BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) - completed through the District or Council offerings.  Consists of online coursework and an overnight campout.  REQUIRED to take a Webelos/AOL den or Pack camping.

First Aid & CPR/AED - completed through American Red Cross, America Heart Association, and other nationally accredited organizations.

Hazardous Weather -  completed online through my.scouting.org. REQUIRED to take a group on an outdoor activity.  MUST be renewed every two years

Safe Swim Defense -  completed online through my.scouting.org covering swim safety.   MUST be renewed every two year.

Safety Afloat -  completed online through my.scouting.org covering paddle craft safety.  MUST be renewed every two year.

Den Leader Specific - completed online through my.scouting.org.  Upon completion, the Trained Leader patch can be added to the uniform's left sleeve

• Complete one year as a registered den leader
• Complete basic training for the position
• Attend University of Scouting or Four Roundtables

• Complete Three performance objectives

• Within five years, complete Three years as Cubmaster OR One year as Assistant Cubmaster and Two years as Cubmaster
• Complete position specific training
• Attend University of Scouting or Four Roundtables each year
• Complete Three performance objectives

• Serve 18 consecutive months as Cubmaster
• Complete position specific training
• Create and share an annual unit program plan
• Implement a succession plan
• At least 60 percent of members advanced one rank
• Have a good relationship with the chartered organization
• Have a positive image in the community
